About a week after the date vs duration poll, the scoreboard was roughly 20 for date and 18 for duration — effectively a tie.
The decision
Forcing one global default would leave half the community annoyed. So I decided to add personalization: choose your own default scheduling mode in the app.
That is the BIP pattern I want more of — when the community split is real, ship preference instead of pretending consensus.
