Mobile nav A/B: which style felt better

Asked the community to choose between two bottom-navigation and capsule-action styles for mobile.

Option A vs Option B

Option A: cleaner, smaller icons, less text, with attachment thumbnails. Option B: bigger, more explanatory buttons, without attachment thumbnails.

What I heard

Many preferred B for clarity (“less corporate,” “nice and clear”). Others wanted a hybrid — B for primary actions, A for the rest. There was also useful naming feedback: “capsule” does not land for everyone; “message” / “letter” sometimes fit better in chrome copy.

Takeaway

Visual preference polls are noisy, but wording and hierarchy feedback was gold for the mobile app polish pass.
